yin yoga

In Yin Yoga class you will practice a series of sitting or lying postures in which the muscles remain relaxed and where you apply slight pressure on joints and the deeper connective tissues around joints and organs.

The Yin Yoga postures are held long, about 3 to 5 minutes. It’s like a meditation in a yoga posture; you practice being aware and opening to what inside occurs. The resistance you encounter will be softened through breathing. The lesson is well suited to contribute to the recovery from illness, stress or fatigue. To make the positions more comfortable and to reinforce the therapeutic effect, they are supported by blocks and blankets.

You stay a little longer in a postures so your body has time to relax more deeply and recharge your batteries.
